Storybird is a collaborative storytelling tool. This tool
enables students to use various artwork and is used as a storytelling tool.
Users choose artwork to illustrate their digital stories and then write a
script to tell the digital stories, using the artwork as inspiration.
What is the Storybird used for?
Storybird is an online social platform (and Chrome app) for storytelling. Students work in it as authors, and pair their words with licensed and curated art from the site. Students can also compose texts, but their artwork is not provided for them to download; they can use the curated Storybird collection in their picture books and comic poems. There are many options such as "picture book", "long chapter", "flash fiction" and "poetry". It has the ability to enable users to share their own works with the whole world and receive comments and feeds about their work.
